The programThe Root Works functional medicine program in Ashburn, VA moves beyond normal labs and symptom management. We identify root causes, correct imbalances, and build a sustainable plan for long-term optimization. This is not reactive medicine. It is structured correction.
Our 3-phase modelTrue physiologic change requires structure, time and accountability. Each phase has a job, and you always know which one you are in.
Root Works is a structured medical program, not a walk-in clinic. Every patient begins with an interest form so we can make sure it is a mutual fit before any clinical work begins.
Clarity before correction. We map what is actually happening beneath the surface.
Three-month corrective programs with monitoring, adjustment and progression.
After correction, we prevent regression and keep what you have gained.
This is where we map what is actually happening beneath the surface. Discovery creates clarity, not treatment overload.
Additional panels may be added.

Correction requires structure, monitoring and progression. Three levels, matched to how much support your body and your schedule need.
Best for mild imbalances and supplement-based correction only.
Gentle correction of gut, adrenal, thyroid and metabolic systems. Supplements purchased separately.
Best for most patients requiring structured medical correction.
Thyroid optimization, hormone balance, gut repair, insulin resistance correction. Cost of prescriptions not included.
Best for executives, accelerated optimization and high-performance clients.
Cellular repair, mitochondrial health, hormone mastery, metabolic acceleration. Prescriptions within the 90 days included.

Our five pillars of optimization. No system functions in isolation.
We retest key markers only, not every lab. Adjustments are based on clinical response.
Programs are self-pay. They are HSA and FSA eligible.
Protocols are adjusted. We monitor response closely.
We adjust the plan. Worsening markers are data, not failure.
All prescriptions and supplements are reviewed for interactions.
Protocols are immediately adjusted or paused.
Hormone cycles, gut lining turnover and metabolic recalibration require eight to twelve weeks minimum.
Yes. We combine prescription authority, advanced lab interpretation, in-office therapies and structured monitoring.
GLP-1 therapy, if medically appropriate, is integrated into Level 02 and Level 03 care. It includes structured titration and monitoring, quarterly metabolic labs, and a transition plan when appropriate. It may include compounded or brand medication depending on availability and regulation. Not every patient qualifies.
All programs are medically supervised by a licensed nurse practitioner with physician collaboration. Prescriptions and lab monitoring follow current regulatory guidelines.
